
8-inch flan dish
Make the pastry as in the method for the Lemon meringue pie.
Roll out the pastry and line the bottom of the 8-inch flan tin

Spread the jam over the pastry


In a sauce pan gently melt the butter, then stir in the sugar cooking for a minute





Next take the mixture off the heat and add into it the egg, ground almonds, self raising flour, almond essence and combine.







Pour this mixture on top of the jam in the flan dish, then sprinkle with flaked almonds





Bake tart for about 30 minutes on 170 deg c fan
